Well this is just a guess and not a definitive answer but; Perhaps you lost a tolerance to it and this is gonna happen. Maybe you need to be on it for 5 or 7 days for the steady dose to be in you and than maybe your B/P will level out. Methadone is gonna lower that anyways. I would still be taking the stuff if I could have taken a dose past 6pm but the drug kept me WIDE awake. So than in the morning I was crashing off a larger dose as opposed to if I took a dose at 10pm.

I also thing, from indications and hints in these questions you are really getting frustrated with your pain, your a tired of jumping from drug to drug and it probably kills you latently that you are back on the Methadone after doing all that work to get it out of you. That has got to be somewhat of a bummer. On top of that, you were given Ultrams (Thats 21 days to get out of you max) and all that other stuff and my God, your body probably doesn't even know you have Methdaone in you again. I do know once your body responds to a certain drug, another one will not be as effective till it know what it is. Subconsciously you might have anxiety just because your on Methadone again. And that has got to have you confused? As far as giving you advise on how to relax? I can't even do that myself. I really hope everything works out for you. Drop me a line when you are finally stable on something and can tolerate your pain. Again I do not think a 1mg Xanex is gonna be bad for you at night, but I am not a doctor nor do I know your body. And please remeber, with the Methadone, try to stay stable on the lowest possible dose. Always.

The Dog was on the methadone before. Are you sure you are taking point 5 mg?? I can't imagine you would feel that at all, in fact I know you wouldn't unless you weigh about 10 lbs.
Some drugs like methadone can make your blood pressure go up a little. I know when I was on it at 90mg. I started taking blood pressure medication. I wouldn't think you would have problems sleeping on such a low dose but maybe you are sensitive to it. Usually for the first week or so it knocks you out pretty good.
Are you sure you are taking .5mg?? Are you having the night sweats too??
Why worry about it, just call your doctor and tell him about your B/P. He is the one you want to be aware of it so he can adjust your meds.
My advice is get off the methadone. It is a the worse thing I have ever done in my life. Once you get strung out on it you are going to have a real hard time getting off. It will take you months to get back to having any normal sleep at all. The withdrawls make heroin withdrawls look like the common flu.
