Question: other than vaseline.... my nose is so red i look like a friggin coke addict. and as amusing as that is to my coworkers, im tired of looking like i've been partying with donatella versace.
as fun as that would be.

lol @ partying with donatella versace. You need some "udder butter" or else - shoot what is it- comes in a small tin green can... something along the lines- anyways its a vaseline type ointment they use on cows etc--- it helps hold the moisture in and will keep any air from further penetrating to dry your skin out. just cake it on at home!!!!!!!!!! Also try putting a humidifier in your bedroom or even at your desk at work! Try not to wipe/blow your nose as much as possible. good luck!

LOL! Love your humor. ;)
Try some Aveeno lotion. That works really well.

Believe it or not, rub som Blistex (sp?) under your nose and that will help.

there is no cure
your going to die
OOMMGG!!

vicks or some chapstick (yes on the nose) or get some quality tissues with a lotion texture to it

I have used medicated chap stick for that and also on my hands when they got really bad chapped; but of course don't use that same tube on ur lips.

Switch to a handkerchief. I had the same problem. I used to work in a day care so I was always picking colds up from the kids and I'd end up rubbing my nose raw. I switched to a handkerchief and I've never had the same problem since.

Some people may feel it's gross but you've gotta make a choice - either you look like a coke-fiend or you use a hanky.

yea i agree with them some kind of lotion normally works, but at the most desperate bit cold sore and fever blister medicine will work wonders.

I have used mentholated thick lip balms(usually in little white round container with yellow cap) ((walgreens)),,,,there are several on the market....and it helps breathing too, to a point, if still stuffy. The skin under your nose is misbehaving b/c it has no moisture. Get real moisture back in and it can begin to heal. Apply & reapply whichever you chose, take product to work with you in order that you can, if anyone makes fun of you, kick em!

mable (a few answers up) is thinking of bag balm. it comes in a green tin that's cube-shaped. it's original use was for moisturizing cow's udders.

however off-putting that original use might be, i HIGHLY recommend bag balm for the issue you are having. the stuff feels a lot like vaseline, but the ingredients are actually quite different. bag balm has more natural ingredients and therefore allows your skin to breathe better than when you use vaseline.

I also agree with getting some tissues that have lotion or vitamin e in them.

neosporn, cocoa butter lotion, lotion with aloe, any thick cream should do the trick. even chapstick works!

Crisco.

Bag Balm is great. You should be able to find it at your local Walgreens, Riteaid or any other store like that.
