Question: Hey there, I just read through all of those other answers and I can't believe that no body mentioned MiraLAX. You used to only be able to get it with a script, but its over the counter now. I get it at Wal Mart. Kinda expensive, but not that bad.
It is a powder that you just mix into anything that you are drinking, even water.....in has no taste!!!!! I mix mine with
Vitamin Water, but that s just cause thats what I drink!!
I take 4 to 6 10mg methadone, 200mg tramadol, 225mg lyrica, and 150zoloft a day, so I really need it!!!!!!!
I saw that someone did mention Colace, and it is what I would call 2nd best, but still took me a couple of days.

A strong cup of coffee.
Colace is a fast over the counter remedy, but eating 2 or 3 grapefruit for a day or so will work also.
Be sure you're getting enough water and you won't have this again.
prunes or prune juice works, but I don't like the taste. Dried apricots will help, same with Miralax. It's a powder and you just mix it with some water, or juice and voila...
Doluclax (sp?) It works fast and good, but I swear to God the cramps are so bad you'll think you're dying, but the end result is woth the pain! Good luck. I hope everythng comes out ok.
Mylanta works well and doesn't cause cramping like other laxatives do. The generic (Walmart) type is good too.Also, start drinking Metamucil everyday to stop the problem before it starts! Good luck and happy flushing!
epsom salt....1 tablespoon in 1/2 cup of water.....

Prune juice --- if that doesn't do it, eat the fruit, prunes. If you don't have any blockage or any other condition, it's supposed to work within minutes.
The Dog eats prunes when his poop shoot is stopped up. They will help.
Buy some prunes and boil them.
Eat some, drink the juice or mix it with another juice.
Add some sugar when boiling if you like it sweet.
Don't drink or eat too much of this stuff.
I don't miss those days. Eat cereal and fiber.
I know you are asking this cause you are on opiates,and I used to have that problem also-BEST BET-ENEMA!!!
Fastest thing - inconvenient though it may be - is an enema - esp. a proper nozzle-and-bag job using either soapy water or glycerin and water.
