Question: I have been lifting too much weights is probably what happened any one have any tips on what to do to make the pain go away? Of course rest but any certain exercises? I would greatly appreciate any answers.

get an xray to rule out fracture or other injury.
Take my advise and see a Doc! Reason being a back strain can develop into a severe muscle spasm. Therefore get it checked out and do not lift anything until the pain has subsided. Likewise you do not want a muscle spasm, so be safe, see a Doc rather than sorry. Best of Luck
