Need a little help with possible ear infection!?!
Question: i just got them pierced, for the first time.. one of them is really tender. i've cleaned them both like i'm supposed to and blah blah blah, anything else i can do to reduce the risk, and maybe some pain? it's not red, it's maybe a little swollen.. any tips?

Sounds like your doing what you are supposed to be doing...
Are you cleaning it off with alcohol? I would suggest that...I know they talk you into buying this other crap that they sell...but alcohol is better...
Hydrogen Peroxide is good too...the only thing is..with the peroxide...make sure that you get the peroxide off of the skin...if you use a lot of it and leave it on there...it will eat away at the skin and make things worse than they already are...
Try doing the alcohol thing...if that doesn't work, then I would go to the doctor...you might need an antibiotic of some type...highly unlikely, but possible.
You could try applying a topical antibiotic ointment a few times a day, after cleaning. You may also be sensitive to the metal used in your earrings. If this is the case, you should use surgical steel or nickel free posts. Even 14K gold contains nickel, which a lot of people are very sensitive to.
