You have a couple different options. You can take try an at home remedy which may offer some relief, go to the doctor, or visit a chiropractor. At home you can alternate heat and ice and use motrin to try to decrease some of the irritation your muscles are feeling from being pulled. You can go to the doctor and and Doctor of Osteopathy can crack you or a regular MD can give you muscle relaxers and pain meds. The muscle relaxers will have to be taken for a couple of days to allow your vertebrae to go back in place naturally. If you go to a chiropractor, (it is nerveracking if you have never been, but safe) The chiropractor will be able to adjust you and give you immediate relief. You may have a little residual tenderness, but motrin, ice, heat will relieve most of it.

Go to a chiropractor and tell them what happened, they should be able to snap you right back into place and leave you feeling better than before.

try a pain killer

It sounds like you pinched a nerve, I would go to the dr immediately so he can give you some pain meds. Otherwise take like 800 mgs of ibuprofen and wait it out, only time will help you.

Awh...try stretching out your neck muscles, lean you head slowly and gradually until it feels better? I hope you get well soon, if it doesn't go away within a few days you should ask someone professional...

I would suggest going to a chiropractor as soon as possible. Or if you can't do that get your husband or a friend to do a light massage in the area to loosen it up. Have them rub up into your head and down and out your shoulder toward your arm to loosen the nerves.

Might need to go see the doc, may need a muscle relaxer, I know many years ago, my neck got completely stuck and I could not move it, and to top that off, my 3 year old son, was running the house, toddler stage, I had to go to the E.R.
They gave me a muscle relaxer, My son didn't do too much damage, I was stuck laying on the bed, saying don't get into that, don't touch that until his father could get home, that was not the best predictament.

I can tell you're hurting since you're screaming in large print.

What you can do to relieve that is take a couple of bayer aspirins and then take your fingers and press in your neck and shoulder where it hurts and press with your strength on the sore part (sure it will hurt but it will eventually relieve the pain, trust me), then relax and take it easy.

If it continues to give you trouble then take one advil and put "cold" compresses on it. When you want swelling to go down or you have an injury then you have to use "cold" compresses. The hot pack will only make the hurt continue to swell.

If it continues after that then call a chiropractor and he will put your neck back in place. Ask for an "alignment". All you will need is "one" appointment (and then take it easy for a few days so it won't go out again) wherein they re-align your body (includes the neck). If they suggest more appointments you don't have to go back...
