Sprained ankle!! HELP ASAP!!?!


Question: I just got a sprained ankle from cheer, and soccer tryouts are in 3 weeks! its believed to be a 2nd degree sprain which is between mild and bad, but what can i do to help heal it fast?! i needa practice and if it takes up the whole 3 weeks before tryouts, im screwed!

RICE
Rest it as much as possible
Ice it as much as possible
Compression - wear an ace bandage
Elevation - keep it up as much as you can
Doing these things as much as you can will help it to heal faster - good luck in your tryouts, it should be better long before that.

ice it everyday ten minutes on ten minutes off and i sugest physical therapy

Stay off it - do some strengthening exercises after the swelling and bruising is gone.

When you try out take it easy let the coach know you are recovering and tape it up at practice, splint it before and after.
