Sorry but if it's sprained you shouldnt be playing soccer for AT LEAST a couple of weeks. The only way to let a sprain heal is to rest it, everything else you can do are comfort measures. Ice doesnt help after 48 hrs - it can just delay healing. Anti-inflammatories like neurofen or aspirin can help bring down the swelling, but make sure you follow the instructions on the packet and always have them with food or you can end up with bleeding in your stomach or bowels... then you wont be playing for longer! Painkillers are also a good idea if it's very uncomfortable but just because it doesnt hurt because you've taken pills dont think it's better and do a lot of walking on it or movement - you'll just end up with more damage. A knee brace can also make it feel a bit better if the swelling has reduced (it will be uncomfortable if its REALLY swollen). Basically you need to rest it as much as possible, once the pain decreases (without painkillers) start gently mobilising. Playing sports that put a lot of strain on your knees through running or suddenly changing direction should be avoided until it is completely healed. Once you sprain a joint it will always be slightly weaker (ligaments and tendons heal weaker, bones heal stronger) so try to wear some sort of support when playing strenuous exercise and work on strengthening the muscles around the joint to prevent further injury - AFTER it has healed

Read and apply http://www.helium.com/tm/148271 to fix the knee.
It's not going to be ready by Saturday so take that first posters advice and sit out the game.
