Is it possible that the lactic acid which is released after a massage could caus!

Question: I had a back massage on Sat. and on Tues. I got a major lower back spasm. It went away on Thurs. The following week the exact same thing happened only this spasms lasted 10 days. Since the spasm happened AFTER the massage ( I did not have it BEFORE), could the massage have released so much lactic acid that it caused a muscle spasm in my lower back?

No, lactic acid is flushed from the muscle as soon as oxygenated blood starts flowing to the muscle, within minutes of stopping exercise. If the spasm came on the day after the massage I would say the therapist worked you too hard, but three days later they may be unrelated. Think about what you do on monday that may cause spasms.
