Tendonitis in the throwing shoulder (pitching)?!

Question: I recently went to my doctor about pain in my throwing shoulder. I was surprised to hear his suggestion: a week or two to get back into it. I haven't done any serious throwing for the past two weeks, so its kinda like it will be a 3-4 week treatment, but is that enough time to heal? The pain is hardly severe. In fact, I can rarely feel it unless I am actually throwing a baseball. If I continue to rest and ice along with some anti-inflammatory drugs, will I be good to go in about a week and a half? Like I said, I can't feel it unless I'm throwing a baseball, so I'm afraid to test it out, and then find later that I started the whole thing over.

The schedule is just about to pick up, in fact, games almost everyday. I also play other positions, so pitching isn't a huge concern, but throwing normally is the question. I just don't want to rest all this time and then reaggravate it.

wat your doctors suggesting is correct, normally if u give importance to the shoulder problems in the begining stages ur problem can be solved easily, if u delay , it may trouble u for long time.

The impingment of the tendons in ur shoulder well be alright if u prevent the further damage, that is all.

dont worry go ahead with ur treatment
good luck.
