no, I use a nail file. (wooden emery Board), Unless, I put on acrilic nails then I would and then shape them with a nail file.

Not advisable. Fungus tends to hide under the toenails more than the fingernails-think about it: other than taking a shower or bath, how often do you wash your feet? Now, how often do you wash your hands?
If you don't have a choice, clean the clippers with bleach at least 2X, thoroughly rinse, THEN clip your fingernails 1st. That should do the trick, friend
