I got my belly pierced today and fainted... what now?!

Question: i got my belly pierced today at a place called blue banana in England. It went fine and the service was really proffesional.

After i walked out and about two minutes up the road i fainted! my friend tried to catch me but i fell back on my head and was out for about 5 seconds. When i woke the ambulance came and checked me over, fortunately i was fine.

My friend told me that body piercers should tell their customers to wait in the waiting room for about five minutes so nothing happens.

Is she right? If so, is there anything i can do,like get my money back?

Thankyou

It is common for one to faint. That is your friends opinion. There is nothing that u can do . I am sure that if it ws a reputable place as U say it ws, they had u sign a paper with stipulations on it. read it over. does it say anything that is pertinent to this situation. dont ask for your money back. chalk it up to a lesson learned. enjoy your body pierce

I think you should be happy that nothing worse happened.

Mine didn't.
She peirced it.
Put the bar in and i laid there for few mins while she cleared up and then she said do i want to look in the mirror and i liked it but i felt faint so i laid down for 5 mins whilst she held my legs and then i went.
My mate had hers done same time and they didn't say nothing to her.

It's not right, they can't force a customer to sit in the waiting room, and it's first time I've heard of a person fainting 5mins after a piercing.
If you were queesy or a bit scared about it it was down to you to not get the piercing, not the piercer.
You're fine now aren't you?

they should really let you sit for a while to get over it,not too sure if they have to though.
hope you are feeling ok now.

you vasovagaled. that is all. all better. your not getting the money back. they can't babysit people after they leave. come on. your fine.

i nearly fainted when i got mine donw and got home and peeled back the dressing and saw bloody mixed up with the cream they'd put on it! Its just natural. People faint for loads of different reasons. If you really wanna go back to the shop then go back, they'll take the bar out then you'll be left with a hole that will scar. Just get on with showing off your new piercing!

well if your happy with piercing why do you want your money back?you cant prove anything anyway.
when i had a tattoo done i had to sip a can of coke..this was to avoid low blood sugar and passing out.

no you cannot sue - its up to you to sit down and who says the piercing and the fainting are related?

Being i have gotten a number of piercings and tattoos it is common knowledge that you will get a rush of adrenaline and if you combine that with the fact your blood pressure would be up due to nervousness or excitement there are always the risk of light headiness or dizzy spells, that being said theres really nothing that can be done you sign a risk waiver and it is up to you to be educated on what your having done.

I got my ears pierced when I was 8 at Claires. After about a minute or so I fainted. The peramatics came and people surronded me. Then my mother bought me choclate to calm down a little. Nothing serious. All will be well. It is usuall bcause your other respondents have fainted also. And no you will probably not be able to get your money back.

Don't be so ridiculous, I'm fed up of this money grabbing culture. There could have been numerous reasons why you fainted and if your fine why aren't you just grateful for that? Its not like you lose excessive blood with piercing and it was your choice to get it done.
I slit my leg open today on glass sticking out of a bin bag and have been in casualty all morning getting stitches!! who should I be claiming money off for that, Asda for not making thick enough bin bags? My cat for breaking the glass in the first place?

Grabber.!!!
Why do you want to have metal stuck in a perfectly good body ??
