Kidney stones???!

Question: when they come out...does it hurt?
even if they're small?

will there be some blood?

how long does it take them to come out?

how will i know when they're out?

i went into the E.R a few weeks ago because my back was really hurting and i couldn't even bend over to pick up anything and i thought it was cause an uncofterble bed or something i did but the doctors, they said i have some kidney stones and they said to drink lotsa water and i have. and they said that they were just small ones.

i didnt get to ask about wen they'd be gone or anything

I have had them a couple times. They can last for weeks or longer. There will not be blood, but when they get to the point that they are ready to pass you will have horrible (sorry) pain. I compare it to child labor. When you pass the stones it will be almost instant relief. You might have to go back in to get pain medication when they get to the passing point. They are right about drinking the water. Drink as much as you can stand. good luck

yes even if they are small it will hurt like hell! and yes there will be a little blood not a lot just a little. you will bascially pee out the stone and blood at the same time and as for how long it all depends. the ones i had now i have had for 2 years or more.

expect a lot of pain. the tube they have to go through is very small and the stones are rough. sometimes it takes ultra sound to break them up. not a nice thing to have either as a male or a female. If pain gets to bad go to an ER if for nothing else than to get pain meds.

You might be able to dissolve them and flush them out with cranberry juice or some other liquid.
