What does this feel like??!
Question: I run track and people always complain about shin splints and i have a shooting pain in one spot i my shin and no where else.. is that what shin plaints are..if not does anyone know what it feels like?

yeah its shin splints. its usually the muscle right to the outside of the bone. thats why track people tape their shins so they dont get shin splints. its caused by your feet pounding on a hard surface tightening the muscles. eventually they get sore. remedy: ice cups
you know those little paper dixie cups? fill one up with water and freeze it. when its frozen rub the ice part of it up and down the muscle. its helps alot
i think i have that too, ive had it for about 4 years now, but under xray it shows nothing, my guess is as good as yours
