What should i do since im not getting any.....?!


Question: see im barely getting any sleep and im 14!! i would get like an hour of sleep and then stay awake. i went to the doctors and he said theres nothing i can do for u. im so tired but i cant sleep for more than a hour. i havent got a good night sleep since i was 12!!! what should i do??? plz help

dear, there is nothing to worry about as doctors really cannot do anything about your problem. Here you are your own doctor, what you can do to yourself nobody else can do. you will have to change certain habits of yours to combat this :

well some things you can do it maybe turn off all the lights listen to soothing music and dont put any pressure on sleep like if you are like i have to go to sleep, and your like stressing then it will make you sleep less.

the doctor can help you, with sleeping pills but because you are so young they are reluctant to give you them. try and identify reasons why you cannot sleep. have you talked to your parents about this?

maybe you need to get a second opinion. even if the doctor wont give you medication they will usually give you tips on ways you can get better sleep.

i dont sleep well either - but you got it worse.

so what helps me is i go to bed about 9ish, make sure everything is quite and close your door and wear ear muffs if you have to.
- then find a good and comfy position so you dont move to much in bed,
-make sure your not too hot or too cold,
-dont eat too much at tea time,
-go to the toilet before bed,
-and if you think alot at night like me, try not to. if that doesnt help try thinking of just nathing but complete darkness.
-make sure you have very little light or no light in you room.

and if none of the above work then this has to work!
i suggest you tire yourself out completely, like running till you cant run any more! and have a shower and go stright to bed or some where it is quite and comfy.
because you would be
soo exhausted you will want to rest and that should make you want to sleep!

if that still dont work thn your gona be a very very tired chick.

Get medication from your doctor to help you sleep!!
