I can sleep forever?!

Question: For about 2 month's now I've been trying to get on an early scheduale. In the beginning I was doing fine but now I'm back to my 10 hr sleeping days.

I try to go to sleep by 1am the latest. Usually tends to lead to 2am. When I go to sleep early like 12am I end up sleeping till 11am.

Why is it when I wake up at 9am I refuse to get up and go back to sleep until it's later?

maybe you think you don't have a reason to wake up. try making list of things you want or need to do, then when you wake up initially do at least one of them no matter how small of a chore it might be. Do a favor for a family member or friend anything to get you up and active once your up you will feel better and may end up helping your sleep routine be in more of a rhythm

its because forcing yourself to go back to sleep takes energy

It's possible that you don't have a job or don't go to school. Once you have to actually support yourself, you'll have less trouble with your sleeping disorder....
Of course, it's entirely possible that your "inner body clock" simply prefers those hours for sleep. Age is a factor.. younger people require more sleep.. eventually, most people end up averaging 6-8 hours or so per sleeping session.
Consider working nights... it's sounds as though a meager position, such as a factory worker, security guard, or overnight supermarket stock person might be right up your alley.... it beats sleeping on a park bench later in life....
Well, I'm being a bit harsh here, I think. You could also become a cop or something... a bit better paycheck and pension...
See a doctor if it's a serious problem that is actually preventing you from functioning as a normal person who can take care of him/herself.... lack of paycheck is no laughing matter, and neither is a soup line.... good luck.

You may suffering from mild depression, which would be why you are not able to force yourself to get up. If you feel tired all the time regardless of how much sleep you get, go see a doctor, there are some infections and blood parasites that can cause a huge loss of energy and show no other signs.

To help, set your alarm for the same time every day and place the alarm clock accross the room so you will have to get out of bed to turn it off.

If you have a problem waking up to your alarm, set the radio to a station that plays a type of music you don't like. ( I set mine to a country station so it essentially annoys me into waking up.)
