Why is my foot all bruised after cast was removed?!

Question: I fractured my ankle 5 weeks ago. When they removed my cast, there were bruises on my feet. One below my toes and one by my heel. Why?

It's never pretty when they remove a cast. I've had both wrists broken, an ankle and an elbow. It's probably the aftermath of what you did to break it. It's never pretty or nice when you get a cast off.
