CAN'T SLEEP! Why are you still up?!


Question: Worked late. Can't seem to find neutral in my brain. What are you all doing up this late/early, and why can't you sleep? Any suggestions for falling asleep and getting the brain to stop processing the day?

Going to Sleep:
Herbal teas/warm milk before bed can be very relaxing
Reading a book for awhile helps some people
Having a warm bath or shower before bed
Having a warm wheatie bag on your neck/back in bed
No caffeine or alcohol near when you go to bed
Having a warm bed can help you relax (electric blanket/hottie)
No illuminated alarm clocks
Make sure your bedroom is fully dark
Don't do work/homework in your bed so that body realises that your bed is for sleep

Doing these things should help you feel more relaxed. Watching tv or playing computer is not good to do before bed because it stimulates your mind and makes you feel more alert which makes it harder for you to fall asleep. Try doing yoga and/or meditation because it will help clear your mind. Its 11:21pm here so i will be off to bed soon. I LOVE sleeping and and I love sleeping in :)

it's 10am in the morning here so it was time for me to get up...it sounds sill but when i cant sleep i lay in bed and see how long i can keep my eyes open for you then find they actually want to close...and end up falling asleep...silly but it works for me
