Weird feeling in my hands?!

Question: I work at this place where I use a strong, powerful hose everyday to wash down machines. After a month of working there. My hands... well my fingers feel like they want to lock in place. I'm guessing from grasping the hose for so long? When I wake up from sleeping. There is one finger that feels like it's definitely locked unless I move it out of place. What can I do to fix my fingers without going to the doctor? Also, my right hand goes to sleep even when I'm awake. I'm thinking there's a pinched nerve. There's no pain but it goes to sleep a lot. How do I get rid of that, again, without going to a doctor? Thanks.

It's sounds like what they call RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury. I would see you're doctor if I were you, I know u don't want to, but they would be able to recommend how to move forward from here.

If the RSI persists, for your own sake you should seriously think about finding another job. Put yourself first not the job.

Good luck.

get a different job. that is a job related injury. there are osha regulations and standards the company is to follow. what happened to the last person working your job? it sounds not like you have an inflammatory process going on. if it doesn't get better, you should see a dr. repetative tasks can be the culprit for this type of injury. try icing the areas after work and see if that helps.

You need to go to a doctor, you have a work place injury from the vibrations and weight of the hose. You will lose all feeling in your arm for the rest of your life if you do not see a doctor and get treatment from a physiotherapist. Hurry to the doctor's office and have it looked at ASAP!
