It depends on what you mean by a CNA. If you mean a nursing assistant, then your other respondents are correct. Go for a full RN nursing degree. RN's can start at as much as $30,000 a year and can earn as much as $70 to 80K if they have advanced skills or degrees. One nurse I know of works only night and weekends. Because no one wants to work these shifts, she gets bonus pay and is making 80 to 100k per year!

CNA can also refer to Certified Nurse Anesthetists, they also have good earnings potential.

Take home message: study and get your degree. It will pay off big time in the long run.

The wages for CNA are generally pretty low, but they're variable depending on location.

they dont make jack especially if your unexperienced .. they will maybe pay you 8/hr to clean crap!! try going to work for a hospital so you can work at night to earn shift diff!!

here in NC, they make about $7-$8

It all depends on the place you work. I have made as low as $7.00 and hour to up to $10.00 an hour as a CNA. I don't do that work anymore. At the nicer places I worked the pay was more.
