Arm in a Cast?!

Question: i just got my arm casted and they made it too big. i cant go back to them right now to get it fixed, so is there a way that i can reshape it just a little bit...to make it a little more comfortable until i can go back in two days? the cast is the kind that they soak in warm water and then mold it to let it cool...gracias! =]

Just leave the cast alone. Don't move your arm around in the cast. Your swelling on your arm might have gone down real fast and that is why the cast feels to big. If you can stick your pinky or index finger inside your cast and nothing larger, you cast should be fine. If you feel that it is way to big, your best bet is to go to the emergency room, or walk in clinic, they can ease your worrying about it. Casts are not suppose to be extremely tight. They are just suppose to hold your arm in position till it heals.

If you start playing with your cast to make it tighter, you could make it too tight, cutting off your circulation. Or you could push a bone out of place. So best bet is just to leave it the way it is.

Good luck to you

Best to wait until you can go back to the doc. Anything you do to alter the cast could affect the break.

I would say that you should just wait to go back and get it fixed. You could mess up the arm even more other wise. Godd luck.

dont fool with it if it is painful go to the er if not wait 2 days
