I suggest you take it very slow and don't feel weak because you're taking things slow. I believe it is fine for you to workout, as long as you take it easy at first. The fact that you are hurting is because you are out of shape, not because of the drug use.

I suggest distance walking to get you on the right track- that's where you walk a couple miles or more at a steady rate- not too fast and not too slow- like you're walking somewhere with a mission I guess is how I can describe the pase you should take. I suggest reading Mens Health as well- it's a great magazine and my boyfriend swears by their workouts and diet plans.

Good luck, you're doing a great thing for you and your kid's future!

I'm not a doctor. But y advise to you is to visit a medical specialist and tell him everything (AND I MEAN EVERYTHING) that you said in your question and that person will surely help you. Good Luck.

Pilate's! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so forget gym, let alone strenuous exercise. Pilate's is not so much fast exercise but precise exercise. So laying on your back and raising a leg if done correctly and slowly will do more for the muscle than a run in the Park. Likewise, you do not need equipment, just need to learn the basics and you can then do it at home. So look around for a Pilate's Class and enroll. Best of Luck
