Knee injury... please help?!

Question: ok so i have injured my knee and ive been to one doc already and he dosnt seem to think anything is wrong... but my knee is still swollen dispite resting and ice... and still feels like it wants to give out... iv had an mri... not much showed up...

im not crazy but is there anything that i can do to make my injury more obvious... not necessarly worse but enough to get my doc to believe me.. i have had to sit out the rest of the season and i dont want to miss any more time for a recurrent injury, so i want this to be fixed asap..

ive already been through months of pt as well

may not have showed up on MRI because of the swelling... when u go to the other doc tell him what is going on and that u are worried that the "giving" may occur again... and that u want something to be done(more than what has already been done)

best of luck

Go see another Dr. It never hurts to get a 2nd opinion. You don't want to make your injury worse. The injury could cause permanent damage.

It happened to me many years ago.My knee swelled up, and didn't go down.I ended up going to the ER.The Dr said he will tap the knee to let out the fluid that built up.He did this, and my knee swelled again:Dr drained it again and gave me a cortisone shot into the knee joint. That finally worked.Go get a second opinion or go a ER.

Get a second opinion from another doctor.
