What Went Wrong?!

Question: ok so today I went four-wheeling with my fiance we live in minnesota so there was still about a foot of snow left where we were. It was like 38 degrees but it had a wind out today so I am guessing it was around 34 degrees but when you are going 30 mph it gets even colder...It was really muddy and my pants (jeans) were SOAKED with mud and snow from the knee down after awhile my legs got SO COLD it felt like my legs were on fire and burned so bad and it felt like I was going to have to peel my jeans off my legs. I was wearing boots but they got muddy water on the inside and by the time we were done 4-wheeling I could barely walk to the care because my feet and legs (from the knees down) were burning and cold!
When I got home I took a HOT shower (I know I shouldnt get in a hot shower when im SO cold but I did) and my feet and legs hurt so bad when the water hit them it felt like knives! my feet and legs look fine but....... did I do any damage to myself since there was such a bad pain?

Hopefully you wont have permanent damage to your legs or feet after this. You warmed them up soon enough. Anything longer and you may have gotten frostbite and lost a toe or two.

You don't have damage. Just when you are in the cold your body is cold all over. So once your body touches something hot it will burn until it gets used to the hotness.
