Answers: Curious if they doctors could have missed something.

Did you have an endoscopy? that checks the lining of your esaphagus, stomache, etc. usually checking for tears caused by liver problems, or GERD,hernias, heart problems... A hiatal hernia can make you gassy, burping symptoms--pain in the mid chest, enlargement between abdomen and chest. etc.. did you discuss the possibilities of having this to your doctor. An endoscopy checks on further problems including hiatal hernia. Hiatal hernias are common with middle age, smokers, obesity=== raising your bed 30 degrees, no lay down after eating, stop smoking... Antacids for acid reflux.. can alleviate symptoms--check with dr. for further information..

No the MD would see the hernia.
