If you don't want to go to the emergency room, call your doctor tomorrow and let him check it. If it is broken, he can set it and
put a splint on it. That will stop the pain. If it is still a throbbing pain and you cannot move your finger, it probably is broken.

I would not take any chances. It could ruin your finger for life. Also, you may need something for pain for a couple of days. It should be feeling better if you hurt it Friday night.

it wont heal by itself..or if it does it well be wonky if not set right..see a doctor

u need to c the doctor so he can wrap it up and do what he needs to and then he will give u pain meds 4 it, ive broken my little finger 2 times same hand

I broke my toe many years ago and if you do not go to the hospital the pain will spread through your entire arm just like my leg when I tried to ignore the pain for a few days. The thumb bruise will turn a gruesone greyish black as there is internal bleeding involved with bruises and your thumb will become severely swollen. It will not heal and the bone needs to be reset or the broken ends of the bone will not mend back together. You need to see a doctor. ASAP.
