because they are scared? / worried? i don't know - it would be better to go to a doctor anyway.... u know professional help

because that are in denial that something could be wrong

Be careful of your spellings. Sorry I have to be honest with you. People are often afraid of doctors and would rather diagnose themselves.

Often times people are anxious about the condition they have and want to be re-assured quickly by someone who has had the same condition.
While a doctor is an obvious choice for getting a prescription or a medical issue resolved, sometimes a layman's terms explanation is easier to understand than a doctor's, and as long as the information is factual, there's nothing wrong with getting medical info from here.

My family can't afford doctors or insurance so in less I'm bleeding to death or something to that degree, I'm stuck with this and webmd.com

All of the above and unfortunately some people are just swinging the lead, messing around think wasting other people's time is FUN, think that this section is a joke and so on. Many problems do not really need a Doc visit, some if you believe them should already be in Hospital and not asking the question, while others just need a little bit of common sense. However always remember, not everyone is honest and some questions, well people really have social problems, have nothing better to do with their time. I tend to see the askers History before answering the question and usually from reading the previous questions you can see what is really going on. If they previous Q & A are marked Private, then I automatically feel they have something to hide, so will skip the question. Likewise some people just want to be the BEST, answer to get the points and then friends get together to mess around and give each other points. It is a shame because I think Yahoo Answers could be a good site, if we all followed the rules. Best of Luck
