Not sure if it was a panic attack or dehydration?!


Question: This morning I got in the shower and started feeling lightheaded and nauseaus. I could not take it anymore so I had to go in a squat position 'cause I could not stand anymore. I got up again and it was worse than before, so I squat again and this time I started crying loud because I didnt know what was happening to me, I was breathing really loud too. Then after a minute or too I got up and finished my shower. I still feel like I cant breath normal. Was I dehydrated or did I have a panic attack? Never in my life had one.

I take panic attacks and the symptoms I get are tightening of the throat, overbreathing and thinking im suffocating, body shakes especially in the legs, palms go sweaty, feel as though im going to die because I gasp for breath and then when I finally manage to regulate my brething I usually burst into tears. Believe me you do think the heart is going to beat right out of your chest, the pounding is so fast and frightening and loud. It does not sound like a panic attack but you probably felt panicky at feeling so ill at the time. If it happens again then seek the advice and reasurance of a doctor.

dehydration can make you nauseous and dizzy. .
a panic attack has your heart pounding, your palms sweaty you want to run.. not stay where you are..
I will vote for dehydration.. 6-8- 8oz glasses a day!!
