Ok, I was just bitten by something....?!
Question: I don't know what, though. I was in the garden, picking up old sticks, and felt a sting like feeling. At first I thought it was a thorn, but there wasn't any. Now my finger is feeling wierd, and swelling, and it's red and you can see the place where whatever it was bit me. Any suggestions as to what it might be?

If you are in the United States the two most likely sources for your bite are black widow spiders or brown recluse spiders. Either of these bites can have quite serious symptoms, even life-threatening. Not silly at all. Get yourself to the Doctor sooner not later.
Most likely a spider bite. Some of these can be quite nasty. If the swelling gets worse or you start to get a lot of pain it would be smart to go to the E.R.
Sounds like you are having a reaction to th bite..you really need to go in before you pass out!
if you live in a warm area like florida,texas you couldve beemn bitten by a bee that builds its nest underground,or a spider,or a fire ant,those are so small you cant see them,but when they bite ,the area it bit you will get all red and itch like heck and it will get very warm there.see your doctor about this.if you have any antihistamines around take one,it will relieve some of the symptoms.
