Meducal question about my wrist.?!

Question: I believe it's just sprained, but can't figure out how.
The inside of my right wrist is swollen, and it feels like there's a lump. Like the bone in the other wrist but lower.
It also feels like both sides of my right wrist are swollen, but more so on the inside.

I don't think it's broken, because that would be a lot more painful (I assume, I've never broken my wrist.)
I only feel pain when I twist it in the wrong direction, or when I put too much pressure on it.

The only thing I can think of that would have caused his is my dog. He is about 90 lbs, and when I walk him I hold the leash in my right hand, with the loop going around my wrist.
He does jump towards things occasionally, and sometimes I have to jerk him away from stuff when I keep moving, and he just wants to stand there.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me by the sounds of it whether or not I sprained it for sure. Or if there's something else you might think is wrong with it.

Thanks :D.

Its could just be a sprain but I would recommend you go to a doctor because there is a bone on the inside, called the scaphoid, this can be broken without really being noticed, you you may have stress fractured it over time, or you may have broken it a while ago and just aggravated it. You should get it checked out because if left untreated this can cause a lot of problems in the future.

have your chiropractor check it out. as it's a bone problem, they'd be most helpful. but also -- it could be a ganglionic cyst ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cy... ).

It sounds like a sprain. A break would probably be more painful ur right , but not definitely . This lump, is it stationary? Can you move the lump around? I had a chipped ankle once and there was a movable lump on it. It was considered a fracture and it was painful for a few months. So you could either go for xrays now or wait a week and if the pain is much better than you'll know it was a sprain. If it's the same or worse, it could be more than a sprain and you should've been seen by a doctor by then.

A trip to the doc's now might save you more trouble in the future.... Good Luck!
