So today I got picked up from school because...?!

Question: I felt like I was going to faint. This has happened to me before but i got all white and my teacher freaked out. The room was dizzy and two guys had to carry me out. What could it be? Possibly an iron deficiency? Oh and by the way none of that junk like oh your probably pregnant. I am 15 and a virgin.

it could be an iron defincency... and it wouldnt be a bad idea to go and have ur iron checked...

could also be hypoglyciema(low blood sugar)... if u skipped a meal ur sugar could have dropped too low and this would have cause the fainting sensation... did u get shaky and feel dizzy?

either way it is always a good idea to get these sort of things checked out

good for you glad to her that there is at least one smart kid out there. maybe. it siunds like you should go to the doctor though.

You're jumping to conclusions here. There are many reasons that you may feel faint - yes, women are susceptible to iron deficiency, and many women having periods should consider either iron supplements or an iron-rich diet. But you might want to check out the other symptoms of iron deficiency.

For example, do you have brittle nails? Are you frquently fatigued - not just tired, but really knackered most of the day long? If so, see your doctor. If not, it's probably nothing, though if you feel like it again it may be a very good idea mentioning it to your doctor.

As a bit of anecdotal evidence: when I was around 15-16, I once found myself overcome with tiredness rather quickly, and fainted on my way to science lesson. As it happened, the cause was probably just a lack of sleep and my habits of skipping breakfast.

I'm not saying that you should ignore your symptoms as trivial, or that sleep deprivation is the likely root of your faintness, but rather that we all have experiences like this from time to time.

I have the same problem, I randomly faint. It started when I was 12 and it has continued for years. I have been to doctors and they told me that I need to drink Gatoriaid to get more electrolytes and take in more sodium. You could always go to the doctor and have them check you out tho to see if you have something seriously wrong

You should start by seeing a doctor. Could be nothing major, like something lacking in your diet. Or maybe an ear infection. But you wont know till ya see a doc. PS Congrats on the no pregos part
