Question: okay my dad has been complaining about a pain in his foot. I just herd my mom say omg what if you have a blood clot! im so scared. can you die from a bloodclot? what are they. im crying so hard right now what do i do?

pain in your foot can be cause by anything!!!!
stop worrying and tell him to go to the doctor if the pain is very serious or if he's worried about it
you need to stop worrying about it though!
my guess is the gout and it is not fatal
its probably a gout which most old people get
first of all calm down Sweetie. Ask your Mom if there is pain and swelling and heat in his foot. You might have heard your Mom overreacting or simply attempting to discuss it. The GOOD news is, if it IS a bloodclot, it is the farthest away from the heart that it can get and although a bloodclot could be serious, it can be treated. Trust your mom and dad to make the right decision iff he needs emergency care. Do NOT panic.....breathe breathe! It will be ok! Momma Kat

Don't get alarmed about something that is imaginary. There are many reasons for a pain in the foot. It depends on where the pain is originating from and what part of the foot hurts. A blood clot can generally stop the blood flowing through a vein or artery. Yes you can die from a blood clot if the clot goes to the brain, you can have a stroke and if it goes to the heart, a heart attack.
A blood clot must be due to something like a severe injury,etc.
Again, don't worry till you have something to worry about.

Blood clots are not always lethal, and that pain could be anything.
Probable best to get it checked out by a doctor.
