Look into "trigger point therapy". There are some good books on the topic you can buy from amazon.com and other places. There are trigger points that are little "knots" in a muscle strand that are hard and painful. The trigger point that makes you have pain in your elbow is not located in the elbow area -- I would say shoulder, upper arm, neck or upper back.

Some good massage therapists will do trigger point therapy and it is WONDERFUL for getting to the origin of tendinitis.

Good luck.

I had tendonitous in my foot and I started taking Excederin and it worked better than anti inflammatories.

i have tendinitous in my heels...
ive found that Tiger Balm helps relieve the pain best for me, but i dont know if it would be the same for you... its worth a try.
also, i found a brace that keeps mine from flaring up. i dont know if they have them for elbows, but mine helps a lot!

hope this helps!
