Ear Tunnel piercing?!

Question: I recently started tunneling both my ears, they were both coping with it really well, then when i tried to upsize them tonight one of them was fine the other one started to really hurt, so i took out the talon and down sized it to what it was before but it's still hurting and i think i'm starting to lose hearing. Should i take it out or see what it's like tomorrow?

If anyone decides to tell me it's stupid or tunnels look gross i really couldn't give a damn you either answer my question right or you don't answer at all, don't bag out the decision i have made to get them.

It is called STRETCHING your ears, but on to the question.

I doubt that you are losing hearing due to stretching your ears. What may have happened though is that your ear has begun to swell in response to the stretching. If you're really sure that you're not hearing as well, it's time for a trip to the doctor! If you've been having any other problems with your piercing like redness, heat, pus, pain, etc then you need to show your parents or head to the doctor since you might have an infection.

If you're sure you don't have an infection, then just leave the smaller jewelry in place and leave the area alone. You can try a sea salt soak to calm the area if you think it would help.

When you stretch your ears, you need to go SLOWLY!!!! If you have stretched within the last month, that is probably why your ears don't want to stretch now. Inside your piercings is a little tube of skin called a fistula. This skin can only stretch so far in a given amount of time. You need to allow your ears a rest between each stretch in order for them to fully heal.

Think about it this way, if you couldn't stretch to reach your toes you wouldn't just force it. Same goes for your ears. If they don't want to make a stretch, forcing it could rip them.

If your ear isn't feeling better tomorrow or starts showing any signs of infection, see your piercer or a doctor.

In the meantime, check out some proper information on stretching earlobes. If you educate yourself on the subject you should be able to avoid future problems. =)
