Question: i was in a caar accident, im having problems with my lower-back. i was told that i have authritis. my question is should i get a MIR also just to make sure that there not any thing else wrong with my back.

It is X- Rays and MRI,it depends on where in your lower back you were hurt.What kind of Arthritis did they tell you ,you have so many of them.

Actually, for your back, a CT scan is better than an x-ray or a plain MRI- for the best view of your back, a CT-myelogram is actually the best study- this is where they inject dye directly into your spinal cord and then do the CT scan.
However- if there was reason to believe you had something else, then your doctor would order something else.
