Question: I was wondering if a nutritionist is covered by insurance. I have been trying to loose weight with no results for almost a yr now, so I think maybe a nutritionist can help but I can't afford one unless it is covered. Thank you!

growing up we had blue cross blue shield and last time i checked they covered nutritionists but call to make sure!

You need to call the number on the back of your insurance card and they will inform you what services are covered. You may also want to call a nutritionist to make sure they accept insurance. Lots of agencies are requiring you pay up front and you submit the claim. Blue cross and blue shield is different for each person depending on the type of coverage you have.
