I gave blood and now my arm hurts?!

Question: I gave blood two days ago, I always have a big deal with giving blood cuz its hard to find my veins. So they tried it in my left arm and the needle got clogged with skin, so they had to quit so I let them try it in my right arm(I've had to do this before). Well this time they stuck the needle in and had to poke around for a bit before they found the vein, like usual, but as soon as they got it I noticed that there was a bump where the needle was in my arm, but didn't say anything cuz the blood was going, so it went for a bit before it quit. So people kept coming over poking the needle around trying to get it to work, even though they told me that they thought my blood clotted in the needle, I finally had to tell them that it was hurting me a lot and they quit. Well now I got this large funny looking bruse on my arm and my wrist feels tender like its got a bruse, but it doesn't. Is this a serious problem or will it go away in a few days?

Your pain is because they fished around with the needle casueing some minor trauma. In addition, that bump was blood leaking out of the vein and now you have a hematoma. It will heal, but can become infected...although after two days you may have avoided that. expect a bruise, and eventually a significant yellowing (also bruise) of the skin.

Give it a few days and if it gets worse..It's a serious problem if not then you'll be fine

yea dont worry it will go away
it happens to everyone it just makes your arm sore
