Help! My foot hurts at the weirdest place.?!

Question: I've recently started walking again to get in shape. However there's a small part of my foot at the back of the arch but just before the heel that really hurts now. What can it be and how do I make it feel better. My tennies are oldies but goodies. Any ideas?

It could be your plantar fascia - that's the muscle which supports the arch of your foot. It's common for people to get problems with it from walking or running.

You probably do need new shoes, because as old ones wear out their lose their cushioning & support. If you're serious about getting in shape, then your footwear is important.

Otherwise see a physiotherapist - they'll be able to cure it quick smart!

usually this is because your not getting the support you need for your arches
and shape of your feet

you basically need better shoes

do you have a shoe clinic in your area?
if you do go there

For such things you should consult a doctor, an orthopaedic surgeon would be best. Here so many people will give so many ideas, how many of these and how long you will do trial and error.

You might just need shoes with better padding or an additional arch support or what is called an "orthotic" insert ... consult your doctor, this should be easy enough to fix :)
