There are different types of pain and different types of pain management doctors. I see a Neurologist who helps me with my bad pain and headaches. They do try to control and limit the amount of pain medicine because the pain medicine does cause other medical problems. It is an endless circle. If you have a brain tumor or some type of medical problem like cancer that cannot be fixed there are doctors who specialize in pain and will help you to manage the pain. Please try to find a doctor you trust who understands your situation and the type of pain you have.
