Question: I used to donate plasma for extra cash. I had to stop after a nurse found I had irregular heartbeat before my last donation. I had never had that before and blame it on the caffeine I had earlier. (It does that to me sometimes.) They said I could donate again as long as I had a doctor's approval. What kind of doctor should I make an appointment with?

Hi. You need to go to your family Dr and he/she will send you to a cardiologist if needed. Caffeine can do many things to us but you should get this checked out just to be sure everything is OK. I am proud a fellow nurse found this and gave you the advise she did. Your health is nothing to play around with no matter what age. Just go to the Dr and then you can earn money again as well as helping so many others in the world that benefit from your donations. i think ur family doctor would be able to check u if they find something they will send u to a specialist
A general practicioner should be able to help you.
I bet you could even go to a nurse practitioner and get it checked out. caffeine will do that to a person.
