Has anyone been,or is anyone on Subutex?!
Question: I am on the waiting list for this medication and just wondered what users views are on this.People who have been on it,or who are on it at this moment.
I have read up on it online,but would like a first hand experience of what its like.
If there were any withdrawals,side effects etc.While on it,or when coming off it?

check this out, I just started it. I did oc....heavily. it is a miracle. you go from full withdrawl to feeling completely normal. its quite amazing! you may get a little headache and maybe nausea at first but it will subside soon enough. if you still crave, just take more and before you know it you say " ok, now I can live again!"
plus if you relapse, it blocks the drug!
It certainly is a better choice of drug than methodone. There has been much well deserved criticism with regard to this country's devotion to this method of trying to get addicts off of heroin. I worked in the Scottish Prison Service as a doctor for 13 years and methodone was despised by addicts. The majority of recent opiate related deaths have been in patients currently on methodone. Personally I always refused to use methodone and was most impressed by withdrawal using Lofexidine. Addicts themselves interestingly had one clear and surprising preference, they tended to favour cold turkey!
