Hi, Age does not matter it is how driven you are to go after your dreams. Also being a diabetic, it will not stop you from reaching your dreams as long as you are keeping it under control because it is a very stressful and time consuming commitment that you will be making. I can tell you that it is well worth all the hard work knowing you are able to help someone in need and you will also learn more about your diabetes. You mentioned that you want to be a nurse anesthetist and that will require even more school and commitment from you and your family. The first day of nursing class my instructor said, now you belong to us and your family and friends will have to understand that it will take all of your time and then more to be successful in the program and graduate. Well i can say that she was right, it is very tough and at times you feel like you can't do it anymore and that is where your commitment comes in and you get through each one as they come. So be sure to go to the university and check out everything that will be expected of you and make sure to keep your spouse included on all of it. This will change your life so everyone has to be on the same page. Good luck to you and remember you can do anything you set your mind too and stick to it.

just follow what you want to be and if you want to do it then do it because no one can stop you from becoming what you want! :)

As long as you take care of yourself and do what it takes I see no reason why you can't be a nurse

I worked in the nursing field for six years. Your health does not matter. It is your attitude that matters in nursing. I work with a lot of women who were in field for the money, not to help people. You should ask yourself if enjoy talking with people, hearing about their problem and are you able to separate home life from work life. Nursing is very demanding mental and physical. I would say more mental then physical. I believe you should follow your dream if this what you would like to do then do it.

No one but you knows the answer to that. Read up online about nursing and see about doing a shadow day at a local hospital to see what a typical day is like.

what size r u thats wat matters`

It's a somewhat stressful occupation but it's great to have a specialty like nurse anesthetist. I think they still require a masters degree for this so you are looking at a bit of school. Good luck in the choice you make.
