How do I know if my knuckle is dislocated?!

Question: When i make a fist with my hand, the knuckle moves to the left, making the top flat. Although I'm not in pain, it feels strained when i open jars etc. and feels quiet weak.
Any ideas?

I am wondering if this is your left or right hand. If it is your left you could be seeing the beginning of what's called ulnar deviation. ( Knuckle joints look as if they are leaning towards the little finger) It is a common deformity that comes with arthritis. You usually would see it in all the "knuckle" joints, but if you are super observant you might catch it when it's just starting with one. It could also be a problem with a stretched ligament or tendon. I would certainly have an orthopedic doctor look at it. You may have to get a referral from your family doctor depending on your insurance.
Depending on what the diagnosis is you may need something as simple as a splint for awhile or at the other end of the spectrum you might need surgery. It's impossible to tell you what it is without seeing it. I hope it's a simple thing, but don't wait to see a doctor as you don't want it to get worse.

you won't be able to move it if it's dilocated.

it will look dislocated..and hurt like h***
