I had surgery on my foot and used Mederma (walmart $13) and it worked really well.
I also cut my hand dancing once and tried "Prefer On" (its part of the HEAD ON collection...head on! apply directly to the forehead... you've seen the commercial for migraines)
its also found at walmart and is quite a bit less ($7-8 if I remember correctly) this one also worked great.
