Should I see the school nurse?!

Question: Last Thursday I was wearing flip flops and there was this puddle of water in the middle of the hall that I didn't see and I slipped and twisted my ankle to the side. I never went to see anyone and I have just been putting up with it. The problem is that yesterday I was in gym class and during gym and after my ankle started to hurt ALOT!
It felt like it does after you sprain it
Problem is it's not swollen it just hurts.
It is tender on the inside not the outside
It hurts alot when any pressure is applied(as I press on it)
I think I should see the school nurse but I'm not sure because I can walk/run but it hurts. If she will think I'm actually injured.
what would she do?

These are my questions also:
will she give me crutches?
Will she give me a note for gym?
Will she give me pain meds?

I have gym 1rst block should I go before or after

Because you're able to walk on it it's UNLIKELY you broke it, but you probably pulled some ligaments.

Assuming you really can walk NORMALLY with no pain, you need to go easy on it for a week or two. Walk, but no running / jumping, etc... No gym.

If I were the nurse (I'm a doctor) I would:
-not give you crutches (if you can walk on it without it hurting)
-keep you out of gym for a week or two, and take it easy overall
-have you take Tylenol or Motrin if it hurts
-ice it 15-20 minutes several times a day for a couple days (even though it's not swollen)

I'd go see the nurse before gym

tell your mother so you can get to dr soon.

Um....it is really dangerous to continue walking on a sprained ankle, it could lead to you being unable to walk correctly for the rest of your life. You should go to the doctor ASAP. A school nurse will NOT give you pain Meds, they will probably NOT write a note for gym, and the least they can supply to you would be crutches or a wheel chair, and the most logically answer as to what she would do is call your parents, send you home, and you'll go to the doctor. Just tell your parents. It will make life easier.

Go see her. She will probably just say, go to your family doc. The worst that will happen is that she will say "your fine", but if she is nice, she will examine it.

Good luck! (let's hope the puddle wasn't something grose! lol.)
