Do I need to be on crutches?!

Question: Last Thursday I sprained my ankle. It didn't swell or bruise but It is still tender and it hurts!
Wednesday I had gym and after my ankle hurt so badly but I also had gym today and my ankle hurt so badly after that It felt like I had twisted it all over again. I had the ice on but ever since gym my ankle just hurts like a sprained ankle but a freshly sprained ankle. It constantly hurts and has been under ice twice today. Walking is just a sharp pain especially after I use ice and My shin also hurt after I used the ice. I can walk/run but it hurts and I am beginning to limp because of the pain.

I have play practice for my church on Sunday and we are dancing. I also have gym. I don't know if I should go see a doctor or not but if It still hurts than I am going to go see the athletic medical guy at my school on Monday. It is tender on the inside of the ankle and I know it's not a muscle pull because there has been no twitching or spasms. My ankle popped when I hurt it, and I can move it around in a circle but It really hurts. Do you think I should stay off of it on Sunday.(I have babysitting on Saturday so I can't)
wearing the brace helped but I really don't want to use the crutches on Monday.

Do you think I should use them/and for how long
Could it be a hairline fracture
The brace seems to help but It still hurts a little. I'm on two extra streinth tylonals right now but It;s not really helping that much.

Thanks for your advice
=)

By the way I twisted my ankle by slipping on a puddle of water on the floor while I was wearing flip flops. My ankle twisted to the side and than popped but popped back in.

I'm 14
by the way also what does this sound like to you?
would the doctor give me a cast?

This happened last Thursday not the Thursday that just past

You really need to get that foot and ankle x-rayed, at the very least. A MRI or ultra sound would be better. What you are describing, "ankle twisted to the side and than popped but popped back in", may very well be the tearing of a ligament or tendon. If you insist on running around doing gym, dance and other strenuous for your ankle/foot activities you are causing more damage to it and could lead you into having surgery instead of a cast or crutches. Leaving this untreated by a medical Dr could lead to a permanent deformity, cause your leg to be a lot shorter than the other, and cause continuing muscle damage. Please stop worrying about how you look and what is and is not cool. Your feet and ankles have got to support you for the rest of your life, they are your body's "car" and need to be treated well. You need to have this looked at as soon as possible, like now. The longer you go with it like it is, the harder you are making it as far as treating it goes, if it is something torn or "popped". You need to go TODAY and have it treated - explain to your parents what you just explained to us and see if you can get over to Urgent Care or the ER for them to have a look. Better safe than sorry with developing bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments!

If you have to use them or have a cast, just do it. Its not about fashion, but about whether or not you have a properly healed leg. A cast for a little while, or a poorly healed leg that make you limp? When it comes to medical stuff, don't think about how you look because we've all been through it.

I had to wear a bandage over my head because my ear almost got cut off. Imagine that in 3rd grade, looking like you were in a war.
