An ulcer is similar to what a blister would be, only on your stomach lining. It is an area where the protective coating in the stomach is eroded away and the hydrochloric acid in the stomach burns the unprotected tissue.
Gasses are produced by the chemical breakdown of food substances in the gut. Some foods produce more gas than others. A sluggish digestive tract can add to the problem because the longer it take for the food to pass through the GI tract, the more time gasses have to collect.
If it is bother some speak to your doctor.

an ulcer is caused by a lack of mucus on the inside of your stomach and your body literally eats away at your stomach you may want to ask a doctor.
