People with ADD usually are really intelligent. Don't diagnose yourself, though. Go to a knowledgeable doctor and tell him/her about your symptoms...don't try to tailor the symptoms to the diagnosis you expect. Just be honest. See what the doc thinks. If he/she thinks you need meds, you'll get them. You may be able to take care of things without them. If not, they're a good thing to have. You'll do fine!

If you feel you need adderall go to a psychiatrist so that you can take some tests and get a better assessment.
ADD has nothing to do with intellegence. I know many very smart people with ADD, but you should probably tell your mom. Just kinda say, "I think I might have ADD."
Tell her your reasoning, and then maybe its not ADD or maybe it is. Adderall will help you, just talk to your mom about it. Or, you can try things to help you pay attention in class.
