Bad short arm cast?!
Question: I broke my scaphoid bone. I was in a long arm cast past my elbow. I just got it taken off and a short arm cast put on. This cast doesn't seem right. It seems loose and part of it rubs on my hand. Should I call and have them redo it?

yes, if it is loose then it is not holding the bone fragments together. you have to be careful with a scaphoid bone fracture as the circulation to some parts if that bone is normally not good thus there is a higher chance for a longer healing period. make the call and stay on the safe side
yeahh it will only get worse.
The rubbing may be a problem, but a short-arm cast is *supposed* to be a little loose. That's because doctors have found that an arm heals better if it can move a little, so it will remain flexible and not get all stiff.
