The back of my knee hurts on and off? i dont know if i stretched a ligament or t!

Question: i was running on my treadmill about 3 days ago, and the next day the back on my knee(right) started stiffening up and it started feeling really odd and awkward, and then it started to hurt a bit. then last night i was in pain and i was limping around yesterday at school and today my knees are starting to hurt, and on my other leg on the back of my knee(the on i put all the weight on) its starting to feel odd, and my knee is starting to hurt. im just wondering what is wrong with me and if i should put ice on it? elevate it? any suggestions would be helpful.

Maybe put some ice on it. I would see a doctor if you have a problem, you could have just strained the muscles though.

Try soaking in a hot tub for awhile; your ligaments just shortened up after the run and you might have not cooled down after the run, that would account for it too.

it could also be "intermittent claudication" resulting from poor circulation.if the pain is reproducable and resolves with rest. i think it would be wise to talk with your doctor about it.
